Xbox One exclusive Scalebound cancelled

Scalebound cancelled

It’s a sad day to be a gamer as news of Scalebound being cancelled has surfaced. Scalebound, which was intended to be an action-role-playing game with 4-player co-op and gigantic dragons, was originally going to be developed by Platinum Games as an Xbox One and PC exclusive… However, the developer and Microsoft have now officially parted ways. According to a media statement, Microsoft has confirmed the following:

“After careful deliberation, Microsoft Studios has come to the decision to end production for “Scalebound.” We’re working hard to deliver an amazing lineup of games to our fans this year, including “Halo Wars 2,” “Crackdown 3,” “State of Decay 2,” “Sea of Thieves” and other great experiences.”

According to a report via Polygon, with the cancellation of Scalebound, Platinum’s only 2017 project is the action role-playing game Nier: Automata, which is scheduled to be released March 7 in North America. The studio is also working on two undated titles, Granblue Fantasy Project Re:Link and Lost Order.

It’s unfortunate that this title has been cancelled, as it was one of Tech It Out Media’s most anticipated titles.
