BT appoints Kevin Hardy to lead expansion in Africa

BT has revealed that Kevin Hardy, currently BT’s head of sales for Africa, has been appointed to lead operations across the region as Managing Director with immediate effect.  Kevin replaces Oliver Fortuin, who will leave the business in February 2017.

Kevin Taylor, BT President for Asia Pacific, Middle East, Africa, said; “We have made huge progress over the last few years in developing our business in the Africa, but there is still much more that BT can do to help the digital transformation ambition of the region. Kevin Hardy’s strong leadership and proven years of success will be a great asset to the continuing growth of our African business. I’d also like to thank Oliver Fortuin for his contribution to our business during his time.”

In his new role as managing director, Kevin Hardy will be in charge of growing the company’s business and leading the regional management team.

BT in Africa offers managed networked IT services in the region to help customers succeed in a changing world. BT has over 20 years’ experience in operating in the Africa region, with connectivity coverage in 43 countries. BT runs 3 regional offices and network Points of Presence (PoP’s) in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Durban. It also manages a 24×7 network and customer support service center in Durban and Cape Town, that services 32 countries across the Middle East and African region.
