Is the Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6 worth it?

instax Square SQ6 camera

Photography has come a long way. Throughout the years we were introduced to film cameras, instant cameras and digital cameras. The camera was then integrated into the mobile phone in order to make photography an on-the-go convenience.

Fast forward to 2018/2019 and the instant camera has made a return in the form of the Fujifilm Instax Square SQ6 camera. The SQ6 delivers square format prints within three minutes, in the same 1×1 aspect ratio popular on social media sites and it’s actually pretty cool.

To add to the fact your photos are up and ready in 3 minutes, the SQ6 comes with some fantastic features. The SQ6 boasts 6 different modes including automatic exposure control, selfie mode & selfie mirror, macro mode, landscape mode, double exposure mode, lighten & darken mode and 3 flash colour filters.

While these features are awesome, the SQ6 is all about making memories. I took the opportunity to put the SQ6 through its paces and, to be honest, it did pretty well. The fact that I can now stick family photos to the fridge, or anywhere else I desire, is really great. It’s also really to use. So easy in fact, my 2 and half year old toddler was able to snap a few shots of her own.

With plenty of easy-to-use features, as asked above, is the SQ6 worth the price of around R1989? Well yes, yes it is. The quality of the photos is superb and the memories that come with them are priceless.

So if you are looking for an awesome instant camera, the SQ6 is the perfect device.
