How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World Review

How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a fantastic end to an absolutely amazing trilogy. The story, this time around, takes place one year after the second film.
Now chief and ruler of Berk, Hiccup (Jay Baruchel) has settled into his new role quite comfortably alongside his the rather goofy, yet fun-loving, dragon Toothless – who is now Alpha of the dragons.
With Toothless being the Alpha, Hiccup and the team make it their duty to venture forth and search the world for any captured or stray dragons and return them to Berk – which has now become a ridiculously overcrowded
Along the way, Hiccup and the team find out that Toothless is not the only Night Fury as they discover a female that Astrid (America Ferrara) dubs the “Light Fury.” Absolutely besotted over the Light Fury, Toothless attempts to build a relationship with the new dragon in order to forge his own path ahead.
With Toothless distracted and Hiccup trying to manage an over-populated Berk as well as the pressure of marrying Astrid, the duo discovers that love and overcrowding are not the only troubles they face. Toothless is being hunted by the fearsome dragon tracker named Grimmel (F. Murray Abraham) who has made it his personal mission to kill and rid the world of all dragons.
After Grimmel and his overwhelming army
As stated above, How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is an excellent film. Hiccup, Toothless, Astrid and the gang have really grown as characters over the past films and this really shines through in How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World.
While the first two films mainly focused on Hiccup as he grew from boy to chief… How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is focused more on Toothless and how he had grown from a lonely Night Fury and evolved into the Alpha of the dragons. It also focuses on his search for love and how far he will go to protect those around him.
While the storyline here is excellent, so are the visuals. How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is a true visual spectacle. This can be seen in beautifully crafted character models as well as the jaw-dropping dragon’s fire and explosive battle scenes.
Conclusion:
How To Train Your Dragon: The Hidden World is an absolute must see for kids and adults alike. Its fantastic storyline not only showcases how the characters have grown, but it also caters for an audience that has been following the journey of these characters since the first film. Overall, it is the perfect ending to a phenomenal trilogy.
