cebit 2017

At CeBIT 2017,  the team at Tech IT Out had the pleasure of meeting Pepper which is according to the IBM team on the CeBIT showroom floor, a robot powered by IBM Watson.

From what we were told on the showroom floor, the Watson-powered Pepper robot can be equipped with core functionalities as well as a Watson software development kit (SDK) that allows developers and clients to tailor the interaction experience.

IBM will give clients access to Watson APIs and various pre-packaged applications designed to address a variety of personal and professional needs.

To date, more than 140 SoftBank Mobile stores in Japan are using Pepper as a new way of welcoming, informing and amusing their customers. Pepper also recently became the first humanoid robot to be adopted in Japanese homes!
