Nintendo has officially revealed the release date and pricing for its latest console, the Nintendo Switch. During a live stream of the Nintendo Switch Presentation 2017, the company confirmed that the console will launch on March 3, 2017, at a recommended retail price of USD $299.99.

The Nintendo Switch will launch with a handful of games, which includes the likes of a mini-game collection titled 1-2 Switch as well as the highly anticipated Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. To add to the features, the Nintendo Switch will not feature region-locking software of any sort. This will allow consumers to play any game from any region.

One of the greatest features of the Nintendo Switch is the fact that not only can it be played at home but it is also portable, which ultimately means you can play recently announced third-party titles such as Skyrim or FIFA while on the move. According to Nintendo, the Nintendo Switch will have a battery life of 2-6 hours, depending on the title being played.

The Nintendo Switch will receive a great selection of titles over the next few months, which include: Xenoblade Chronicles 2, Super Mario Odyssey, Splatoon 2, ARMS, and Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Additionally, Ultra Street Fighter Ⅱ: The Final Challengers will be coming to Nintendo Switch. Street Fighter II returns featuring all of the classic characters, a host of brand new features as well as two new fighters; Evil Ryu and Violent Ken.
