The Willow Wearable Breast Pump is ideal for today’s busy mom

Willow Wearable Breast Pump

The world of technology has certainly evolved over the years. We have seen smartphones evolve into multi-purpose tools. To add to this, we have seen the Internet of Things take off and become a reality. Fast forward to 2017, and we have now been introduced to Willow, a wearable breast pump designed for today’s busy moms.

Originally launched at CES 2017, the Willow Wearable Breast Pump is a hands-free breast pump, which has been designed to fit discreetly into a breastfeeding mother’s bra. According to the firm behind the innovation, Willow works quietly inside the bra, no other special equipment needed, and collects milk into an internal bag. To add to the features, Willow also comes with a companion app that will allow the user to keep track of the volume of milk being collected.

According to the companies website, the device has no external tubes, cords, or dangling bottles, which will allow breastfeeding mothers to move about freely.

In an article by Digital Trends, Naomi Kelman, CEO and President of Willow stated that: “Current breast pumps require women to step out of life. Willow lets women live their lives. We believe in bringing dignity and humanity to the breast pumping experience because women shouldn’t have to undress or give up who they are — or how they move — to be a mom.”

According to the firm, Willow is also dishwasher safe – which will allow for easy cleaning. Willow is set to hit the market this spring with a retail price of $429.
