According to a report via TelecomPaper, Kenya’s Taxi Chap Chap has officially launched its mobile lift hailing application after successfully trialling it for the last six months.

According to the report, anyone who downloads the Taxi Chap Chap app, available for both Android and iOS, from 01-30 September 2016 will be entered into the lucky draw and stand a chance to win a pair of air tickets to Dubai. This Taxing hailing app joins the tough competition in the sector including giant Uber and Little Cab in Kenya.

The report further revealed that Taxi Chap Chap is the first app to bring its customer a loyalty programme, CabMiles. Passengers accumulate points for every kilometre travelled, which can later be redeemed and used for fares or as cash. Taxi Chap Chap will initially be available in Nairobi followed by other Kenyan cities and towns, before spreading to the rest of East Africa.
